Incredible Breakfast Cook Off Truly Incredible

Today, 11 restaurants from all over Maine joined together to participate in Maine Restaurant Week's first ever Incredible Breakfast Cook Off. The WBLM 102.9 Morning Show broadcast live from the event and the local NBC affiliate, WCSH6, was on hand as well.

Hundreds of breakfast lovers attended this event at Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland.

This incredible morning was a fundraiser for Preble Street Resource Center.

Participating restaurants included: Dysart’s, The Good Table, Miss Portland Diner, Sea Dog Brewing Company, The Port Hole, Congdon’s Donuts, Moody’s Diner, The Port Hole, Becky's Diner, the Maine Diner, and Bayou Kitchen.

At the end of the event, attendees voted The Good Table's Creme Brulee French Toast as the winning entry among all of the delicious food being served. The Press Herald was able to catch owner, Lisa Kostopoulos, right after the announcement, "Not only was (the contest) great to raise money, we had a blast," she said. "Working with all these fellow restaurants, that was the best of it."
